As Al Alfi Foundation’s Scholarships and Student Affairs Director at Al Alfi Foundation, Mona oversees the development, implementation, and administration of programmes and initiatives which reflect the Foundation's focus on human and social development through education and capacity building in STEM education in Egypt. She acts as the primary point of contact for the Foundation on scholarships and has succeeded in creating an empowering and supportive environment for more than 7,000 students, fellows, alumni, and different programs beneficiaries enabling them to excel and fulfill Foundation objectives.
Mona also holds the position of Business Development Director, where she is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with organizations ranging from government agencies and international donors to universities and non-governmental organizations. Her work also involves leading or supporting proposal development teams across different consortia and entities, such as Erasmus, USAID, and the British Council. Tasks include organizing pre-proposal strategy sessions; working with technical, management, and finance leads on strategy; and ensuring that budgets and narrative text are developed, reviewed, and edited per donor requirements.
Mona holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration (minor) from the American University in Cairo.
Aya Moussa is a Research analyst and business development specialist at Al Alfi Foundation for Human and Social Development (AAF), one of the prominent NGOs in Egypt that aims at developing people with high capability in order to improve their surrounding social and economic environment.
Aya has 10 years of experience in the research field. Prior to her AAF appointment, she worked as a research analyst at business consultancies and an Export market research analyst at Expolink (Egyptian Exporters’ association). Aya has also worked as a Qualitative research analyst and an economic researcher.
She holds a diploma in Feasibility study from Cairo University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, English section from Cairo university.
