Theme: mathematical perspectives to critical models of statistical mechanics and conformal field theory, including but not limited to: probability, combinatorics, analysis, representation theory.
What: A four-day collaborative workshop with talks and free research time, in the midst of the (arguably) most enchanting part of the Finnish nature.
Aim: To foster ongoing and new collaborations, between researchers working in or with ties to Finland.
When: Mon 17th - Thu 20th Aug, 2026.
Where: Kursgården Skärgårdsskolan, Houtskär, Turku Archipelago. Joint rides from Helsinki, Otaniemi and Turku will be arranged. The venue offers simple comfort in a traditional Archipelago school setting. Full board accommodation is covered for all participants.
How to attend: Given the aim of the conference, early May 2026 key group leaders in the community were invited and asked to recommend two collaborators or students. If you're interested, contact your professor and/or the organizers.
Organizers: István Prause and Alex Karrila, Åbo Akademi; both: firstname.lastname@abo.fi.
Acknowledgements: Financial support from the Emil Aaltonen foundation and Research Council of Finland is gratefully acknowledged.
