Open Geo

Crowd curated content for geographers by geographers

Welcome to Open Geo!

Open Geo is an online geography resource with a mission to provide high-quality content for the 2019 - 2026 IB Geography syllabus. It was created in April 2017 by IB Geography teacher Tony Barnes and invites people with a passion for geography from anywhere in the world to help curate content. This new Google Sites platform is remarkably easy to use and allows editors to make changes in real time alongside fellow collaborators.

If you are interested in becoming an editor, please send an email to opengeoeditor@gmail.com with a brief paragraph or two about what your experience is with IB Geography and what sections you'd like to edit in particular. You'll then be added to the Google Site here as an editor and can begin curating content immediately. Please only curate content that is applicable and always keep the site neat and tidy.

You are always free to browse the site, even if you don't want to be an editor. This website is for anyone interested in Geography whether you choose to contribute or not and will always be free to use. Good luck on your exams!
