Nura

Nura, an open design project inspired by the Mediterranean, introduces three geometric shelves that encapsulate the sea, the sky, and the sand of Menorca. The name is derived from the ancient Phoenician designation for the island, evoking divine fire on its peaks. The project utilizes the innovative material Honext, crafted from recycled fibers of waste from paper factories and post-consumer cardboard, blended with non-toxic additives in an eco-friendly process. These shelves not only pay tribute to the rich Mediterranean culture but also embody a tangible commitment to sustainability. The Nura shelves capture the essence of Menorca, blending contemporary design and environmental respect in geometric shapes that narrate cultural stories.
