Grace Ha

Founder and Tutor

Hi! My name is Grace Ha. I am 17 years old and a high school junior at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. The COVID-19 has affected the lives of many elementary students, with many kids unable to go to school. My goal is through this website, I am able to provide free online help for students and to also be a mentor for younger students. I know when I went into high school I was unprepared and I really wish I had a mentor. God has given me the vision and dream to become a child psychiatrist. I want to help younger students and help them fulfill their dreams. My hope is that I am able to give advice and help students like me so they can expand and succeed to become successful leaders in the future.

Ashley Pasion

I would love to tutor and help out with this organization because I’ve always been passionate about helping others and giving back to my community! When I’m older, my dream is to become a neurosurgeon so that I can help make a difference in this world for the better. I love learning, whether in school or about the world around me, so being able to help even just one person through teaching would make me the happiest.

Gabreilla Nettey

I am interested in helping out with this tutoring program for several reasons! I am considered low income myself and I know what it feels like to not be able to afford things like tutoring. I also think it is a good thing to help when I am able to especially in my community and children. In the future, I hope to pursue the career of a pediatrician.

I want to be a tutor because I want to impact the lives of others just like the way mine was impacted by those who took the time out of their day to help me. I enjoy helping others, and especially helping others to be better. Whether it is being a better student or person in general. When I am older, I hope to achieve my dream of being a Pediatrician. That’s another thing about me! I love kids and am very passionate about helping them.

I love all courses related to science; especially biology. In addition, I have several non-academic hobbies such as drawing, painting, playing tennis and reading.

My goal is to help every kid I can get a chance to have a successful future and to be able to excel in school. I want to help students see and reach their full potential. I believe students can understand and appreciate a subject if its presented in an engaging way that can help build his or her own ideas. In my free time, I like reading, crafting, volunteering, and playing volleyball.

I love teaching and working with kids! Every kid should have their chance to excel, so I hope I can help students succeed in their education through OPAL. Often, education is the key for students to achieve their dreams and I hope to aid students in reaching these goals.

OPAL is an opportunity for me to share what I've learned with the community. I also enjoy working with children, so I know I can help younger students with their studies. I hope to inspire a love of learning in the students and guide them to overcome any academic challenges they may face.

I signed up for OPAL to help others succeed during these difficult times. Learning virtually is very difficult on your own with limited resources. I wanted to impact other students lives in a positive manner and showcase my passion for teaching.
