Andrew Washington, a member of the African American Film Critics Association since 2020, is a lifelong cinephile. He has a collection of over 1000 movies, from his first DVDs as a toddler to his growing industry screener, Blu-ray, 4K, and Criterion collections. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2025 with a BA in Film, TV, and Media Studies and is pursuing an MA in Film and Television from UCLA. He is an avid moviegoer and watcher, averaging almost 500 movies a year for the last two years, and an attendee of Sundance Film Festival (virtual and in-person) every year since 2020.
