Chapter 11
Chapter 13
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
The cloud of witnesses from Abraham until now that God has a laid a claim upon Adam corporately in Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That this claim, therefore is a claim laid in corporate judgment for the purpose of corporate redemption and new creation, even in the resurrection from the dead of the one who freely laid down his life to fulfill the righteousness of the sentence of death upon Adam on behalf of the corporate humanity that God laid claim to, in order to give to him a body.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of _our_ faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The first leader and creator of our complete faith
...who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
In this he led us into the faith that he created for us from start to finish.
..looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, [Luke 24:26]; [Phil. 2:8]; [Isa. 53:11] who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising [Ps. 22:6, 7]; [69:19]; [Isa. 53:3] the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [ch. 1:3]. ESV
Philippians 2:8
And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross
This to him was a painful joy for the sake of complete joy. What was the painful joy? It was to do the will of hi Father, and to declare for corporate Adam, for Israel’s sake, the Justice of God’s corporate sentence of death upon Adam. Which he did freely and voluntarily, laying down his own life as corporate heir of the humanity that God claimed by his own right. For it was God’s will, when Adam sinned and sought to live by a lie, to claim a corporate branch of Adam for the purpose of redemption and re-creation. For this purpose, God framed beforehand the possibility of Adam’s choice to seek to live by a lie in the sentence of death if he should violate the commandment to live by faith, which God gave to them. Upon this foundation, Yehoshua as God’s chosen and promised and appointed corporate head of Israel, and therefore heir of Adam, obeyed God in laying down his life and All Israel’s with him, as being her corporate head, to accept and honour the righteousness and truth of the justice of God in the corporate sentence of death upon Adam, fulfilled that sentence corporately for humanity, in order that God’s mercy might be revealed corporately in the redemption of Israel, that whosoever believes might be saved. And this was the complete joy that was set before him.
[[Deuteronomy 8.1-10]]
For consider him who endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.
In the future, our spiritual eyes will grow strong and we will actually be able to see life itself.
[Matt. 10:24]; [Rev. 2:3] Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or I fainthearted. [Gal. 6:9]
You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
The world will have the opportunity to repent instead of coming to an end in corporate capital punishment. The assembly of Messianic Israel will in that day be prepared to be martyred with Moshiah.
In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. ESV
And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked by him:
The chastening Of one, the chastening Of all...
And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? ESV
[1 John 3:1] = only insomuch that we are made corporate members of God's Jewish son, raised from the atoning death for Israel, is it possible for us to be called sons and daughters of God. And therefore our chastening is only of the nature of his chastening, which is only for his redeeming work. There is no other chastening from God.
“My son" (Cited from [Prov. 3:11, 12], [Job 5:17] do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him.
[[Deuteronomy 8.1-10]]
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Speaking to each one of the seven assemblies
ESV
For [Ps. 94:12]; [119:67], [75]; [Rev. 3:19] the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”
If ye endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father does not chasten?
ESV
It is for discipline that you have to endure. [Deut. 8:5]; [2 Sam. 7:14]; [Prov. 13:24]; [19:18]; [23:13] God is treating you as sons.
For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
[[Deuteronomy 8.1-10]]
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
The corporate body with its head is called, son, by God, because he raises the whole up in the face and mercy of the Son who reveals his word, because he is his word, raising all as one through disciplining them as one body. How then could anyone revolting against such corrections be a member of this corporate body.
ESV
If you are left without discipline, [1 Pet. 5:9](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=1Pet.5.9) in which all have participated,
then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave _them_ reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Spirits -
The word contrasts to the physical conception and birth in this context where we are speaking about the resurrection of Yehoshua and new creation / regeneration of the corporate body of Israel, Knesset Israel, in the language of the Zohar.. So, do not allow your first Adamic nature dampen your willingness to learn readily from the chastening that will teach you that you have no life at all, now in him who is the Word Of God, and also before when you were corporately in the first Adam, and where your physical body still remains and will until the resurrection.
Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to [Num. 16:22](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Num.16.22) the Father of spirits [Isa. 38:16](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Isa.38.16) and live?
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Natural human discipline of children is good but in a limited way. It can do nothing to affect the sentence of death upon Adam in which all die. Accordingly, it cannot be done completely for the child’s sake alone, as it does not posses the power to do this, even if the parents do not intentionally act with self-serving motive mixed into their reasons for disciplining their children. God does act entirely for the child’s sake.
🎶
For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, [2 Pet. 1:4](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=2Pet.1.4); (See [Lev. 11:44](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Lev.11.44 "Lev 11:44")) that we may share his holiness.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Peace an righteousness.... as in the case of Melchizedek. If you are to enter this “order” with Shem and with Mashiach, you will enter the order of those who are the subjects of discipline.
ESV
[1 Pet. 1:6] For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields [James 3:17, 18] the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
Hands and knees...
Re-creation is hard
ESV
Therefore (Cited from [Isa. 35:3](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Isa.35.3); [Job 4:3, 4](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Job.4.3-Job.4.4)) lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees,
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Lest your weak foot of faith stray from the path where you allow it to become difficult so that it is rough and it does not go straight. Rather, let your foot of faith be healed and become strong by walking on the straight path of learning according to the Scriptures of Israel.
>ESV
and [Prov. 4:26, 27](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Prov.4.26-Prov.4.27) make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint [James 5:16](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Jas.5.16); [Gal. 6:1](https://www.stepbible.org/?q=version=ESV|reference=Gal.6.1) but rather be healed.
¶ Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord.
Here is a new chapter.
¶ Now that it is given that you are a disciple, We will leave you with these instructions. You are members of a kingdom not of this world but, rather, of a new redeemed creation of the world. For what reason, therefore will you enter into political dispute with or any any other way fight with anyone in this world?
To do so would be to deny your own identity and to act as if you were a citizen of this world. Indeed, there may be many all around you who profess to have a faith like yours but who wrestle with the world on its own terms. In doing so, they do not allow themselves to be set apart from the world. Rather, they want to rule over the world. But one does not come in holiness to rule over the evil inclination by being a ruler of the world. Rather, overcome the wilfulness of your own tongue when it wants to shade the truth, or speak with another wisdom than the word of God. Do this and the world will have no part in you, nor will it want to have.
ESV
See [Rom. 14:19] Strive for peace with everyone, and for the [1 Thess. 4:7] holiness [Matt. 5:8]; [2 Cor. 7:1]; [Eph. 5:5]; [Rev. 21:27]; [22:4] without which no one will see the Lord.
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
The council of the apostles speaks with one voice in this book, especially here out of their experience with Yehudah Iscariot. For the community of The Jews is not heterogeneous - some are on one side of the veil and some on the other. But all are one body.
ESV
See to it that no one [ch. 4:1]; [2 Cor. 6:1]; [Gal. 5:4] fails to obtain the grace of God; that no [Deut. 29:18] “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Immoral person in the manner of Esau, who loved himself and his life in the world lustfully, so that he saw now value in the discipline provided by the God of Abraham. What was some birthright to him, to the priesthood in generations far in his future, in the religious family and tribe of his grandfather’s hopes and dreams? He was already master of his own world here and now!
For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
Remember, therefore, and remind anyone near to you who seems to speak or act like Esau, that even though they were born a Jew, Esau was also born a Jew, but completely lost his Jewish testimony on account of his own infidelity.
For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
For we, the people of Israel, have now not simply come only to...
And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
12:18 continues
For we, the people of Israel, have now not simply come only to...the fearsome word of preparation for the redemption and the world to come... but
(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
12:18 and 19 continue
For we, the people of Israel, have now not simply come only to...the fearsome word of preparation for the redemption and the world to come... but much more, so that then, when the purpose was only preparation, if an animal would merely touch the mountain while it was sanctified the animal had to be killed, so now...
And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
12:18 and 19 and 20 continue
For we, the people of Israel, have now not simply come only to...the fearsome word of preparation for the redemption and the world to come... but much more, so that then, when the purpose was only preparation, if an animal would merely touch the mountain while it was sanctified the animal had to be killed, so now remember that (it was Moshe himself who said)...
But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
And having this in mind know that we, the people of Israel shall yet come to see that we are come to that for which we were then so awesomely being prepared, even to...
To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
General assembly – πανηγύρει
universally, a public festal assembly; so in Hebrews 12:22(23) where the word is to be connected with ἀγγέλων (so G L Tr (Tdf.); yet see the commentaries). (The Sept. for מועֵד, Ezekiel 46:11; Hosea 2:11 (Hosea 2:13); Hosea 9:5; עֲצָרָה, Amos 5:21.) (Cf. Trench, § i.)
Church = assembled body = Knesset Israel. Here reference is being made to the redeemed corporate nature of Adam, where the inheritance is according to the firstborn. [[Firstborn Inheritance]]
We are come to what at Sinai and since we have been in preparation for:
The two references here to the corporate body... the set time assembly and the redeemed eternal present Knesset Israel. (The set time assembly is listed first as if to say do not think the redeemed corporate body is only heavenly and spiritual — as you might be tempted to think if the aspect of ekklesia, the redeemed eternal present Knesset Israel were listed first, because it is all that you experience now. Rather, it is also, necessarily, physical, the revelation of the resurrection will come in its set time. All Israel will be saved.)
Indeed, to be come to redeemed corporate Israel is to be come to God – in the aspect of the God of Israel, the Redeemer of those he has justified in the justification of life, and converting them in nature and nurture into vessels suitable to be filled with his own righteousness.
And to Yehoshua, the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.
To the new cutting of the covenant and the agency through which the new cutting of the covenant takes place, Yehoshua, which cutting of the covenant involves a sprinkling of the blood of a firstborn that speaks of better things than did the blood of the firstborn, Able.
See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
See that you do not refuse him who speaks... saying, “Repent and enter the Kingdom Of God, for the gate is straight in front of you!”
For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:
Whoever hears the Gospel hears it from heaven. That this is happening means that the whole Universe is now brought to stand before the throne of God’s judgment and the Jewish Son of Adam is seated at God’s right hand, and through him alone and his atonement made for Israel is there salvation for the Universe.
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
In order to prepare the way, His Voice shook the earth in speaking to the corporate branch of humanity that He claimed for Himself, to redeem for Himself, speaking to All Israel at Mt. Sinai. Now that for which He shook the earth with the sound of His Voice is come. Now His Voice will turn not only earth but also heaven inside out and upside down as He reveals His Judgment Of Strict Justice and Eternal Righteous Mercy.
And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Everything was loosened by the giving of the Torah to Israel in the first cutting of the covenant with the corporate body of the people of Israel. Now that there is a new cutting of the covenant with the corporate body of the people of Israel, whatever was loosened and thereby helped to prepare humanity for this cutting of the covenant with the corporate body of the people of Israel will remain, but all that was loosened and did not help prepare will be now shaken away.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
We receive a Kingdom Of good soil well tilled and prepared...
For our God is a consuming fire.
As a comet that falls into the sun, so is this universe falling into the fire of the judgment of God!
As a comet that falls into the sun, so is this universe falling into the fire of the judgment of God! Therefore fall in Moshiah!
