ON STAGE aims to empower young people to engage with political issues through theatre, creating accessible materials for the 2024 EU elections, and promoting social inclusion of marginalised youth and ethnic minorities in the national and EU political process. Through the activities and results, the project aligns with Erasmus+ priorities and the Youth Participation Strategy, promoting democratic culture and awareness.
ON STAGE includes two theatre-based LTTAs where participants will develop and showcase their creative talents by writing, performing and recording their productions. There will be local activities aimed at addressing the socio-political issues affecting youth, the development of a Toolkit and a Guidebook tailored towards addressing marginalised youth issues and participation in the EU elections. The project will have a website, host online webinars, and organise multiplier events.
ON STAGE will enhance civic engagement in disadvantaged youth from ethnic minority backgrounds and facing economic, geographical and cultural obstacles. They are expected to develop critical citizenship skills and be encouraged to vote in the European elections, increasing their social participation to advocate for change on matters of importance for them. Partners are expected to increase their intercultural skills and capacity to offer more opportunities with innovative methods.
