Workshop with the support from PM-USHA
The Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It was launched to improve the quality, equity and accessibility of higher education across the country. The scheme is designed to support State Universities, Government Degree Colleges and other higher education institutions in strengthening infrastructure, introducing innovative programmes and enhancing student learning outcomes.
PM-USHA aims to:
Provide financial assistance to State Higher Education Institutions for infrastructure development, laboratories, libraries, digital resources and student amenities.
Promote academic excellence and equity by supporting skill-oriented courses, research activities and faculty development.
Encourage holistic institutional development through governance reforms, quality accreditation and outcome-based education.
The assistance received under PM-USHA helps colleges and universities upgrade teaching and learning environments, improve employability of students and align their programmes with the National Education Policy (NEP-2020).
