This project was made to describe the impact of social media on society and on people like me.
I took the “Am I ADDICTED to social media?” QUIZ, I realized I have a healthy relationship with social media.
Congratulations! Psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. But luckily, that's not you! Not checking social media every few minutes doesn't make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live 'in the moment' rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away. Keep it up!
I HAVE A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP!!!, I think I'm doing very good at my use of social media. I usually use it when I need to and don't go out of my way to let it distract me in my work.
The stats in the article were relevant to me and my usage of social media. The statistics are worldwide not just American use of social media.
Seeing the usage of different social media platforms and the averages in different countries is amazing; the usage for business, daily use, or the usage based on gender and how it is diverse or how your culture or where you live has an effect on your usage. For example, Japan has an average of 47 minutes of social media usage per day vs Brazil which has 3 hours 33 minutes. I wonder what other people from other countries see and how it affects them.
Social media is a mix of good but also bad, with social media, I can expand further than I possibly could in my neighborhood I can access people around the world and connect with them. While on social media I can see other people's thoughts and feelings although there are multiple lies on there. I think it's amazing.
I learned that social media began back in 1996 with the release of the networking site Bolt, which isn't a thing anymore. I also learned that Brazil has higher social media usage than America ( I always thought America had the most social media usage worldwide).
