My project is to find two different types of cybersecurity scams in the news. I found two different examples of cybersecurity in the news. One of them being phishing scams and the other being internet fraud.
This article is about an internet scamming incident, where a woman got a popup window entitled "Microsoft Security". She called the number provided and was lied to and was told to withdraw money, luckily her bank suspected fraud and would not let her purchase more cards. The lady lost money in this scam but luckily her bank reimbursed her. Internet scamming happens online with links or popups. Learn from her mistakes: Internet scams can be avoided by not clicking things that don't come from the official websites.
