This course focuses on the integration of technology and emerging Web applications into all curriculum areas. This class is NOT about technology tools, but about using technology tools to help facilitate learning in the classroom and to help us and our students become digitally aware in the 21st century. This course is aligned with 2016 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for students.

All participants are expected to attend each face to face session as well as participate in online course activities. Absences of one class will result in a mark down of one letter grade for your final grade. It is assumed that students will participate by having completed all readings and assignments and will take part in online communications, reflections and discussions. Students will have the choice of tasks in the modules and can be completed at the student's own pace.
The grade for the course will be based on the following criteria and requirements: During the course you will complete activities to earn each of the seven overall badges which align with the International Society for Technology in Education Standards. Your grade will be based on your ability to complete activities in order to earn each of the seven badges. Your development of verbal communication skills as demonstrated through your participation in class discussions and online activities will carry weight towards your final grade.
As an academic community it is expected that all members of the community will act in a responsible and ethical manner and to uphold values, rules, and regulations. The principles of individual honor, integrity, responsibility, and respect for the rights of others are essential to student academic conduct. A student must always submit work that represents his or her original words or ideas. If any words or ideas are used that do not represent the student's original words or ideas, the student must cite all relevant sources.
