Game play

Having the correct ball for your grade is important - if a ball is too big or too small, this will affect your grip and skill development. You need to feel in control of the ball to make it move how you want it to - this is achieved by having a good grip on the right sized ball.

Their are two different heights for the basketball hoop, depending on age/grade. U10 competitions play with the hoop at 8ft (2.43m), while all other grades play with the hoop at 10ft (3.05m).

Support your team

We are privileged to be able work with your child or young person, and we encourage parents and caregivers to attend training and games. Training is essential to learning new skills and develop and practice team plays. Our success would not be possible without your support and those that volunteer their time to coach, manage a team, oversee training sessions and games, and provide a score person during games. The time, personal, and financial sacrifices they make is balanced by the rewards of building a better community and being a role model for our club and players.

You can help us support this undertaking - our club prides itself on character and behaviour.
