OneTap | Safe (“the App”) is designed to help users stay safe by notifying trusted contacts when a scheduled check-in is missed.
GSDSI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. OneTap | Safe is designed with a privacy-first approach and, based on its current functionality, stores the information you provide locally on your device rather than on our own external servers.
This Privacy Policy applies specifically to OneTap | Safe and explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and what rights you may have under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
Where required under applicable data protection law, you may contact our EU Representative, Michael Belsky, at michael.belsky@idmap.ai regarding data protection matters.
The App allows you to manually enter information necessary for its functionality, which may include:
Your name
Your phone number
Optional personal notes, which may contain sensitive information depending on what you choose to enter
Names and phone numbers of your trusted contacts
Check-in and reminder information configured by you
You are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate basis or permission to provide contact information belonging to other individuals.
The App allows you to enter optional personal notes. These notes may contain information that could be considered sensitive or special-category personal data under applicable law, including health-related or medical information, depending on what you choose to enter.
You are not required to enter sensitive information in the App.
You should avoid entering sensitive information unless it is necessary for your intended use of the App.
Where applicable law requires a specific legal basis or explicit consent for processing special-category data, such processing should only be carried out where the applicable legal requirements are satisfied.
Information stored in the App is used only for its intended functionality, including:
Reminding you to complete scheduled check-ins
Monitoring whether a scheduled check-in has been completed
Triggering an alert when a check-in is missed
Sending an alert or notification to your selected trusted contacts
Maintaining the App's local functionality and settings
We do not use the information stored in the App for advertising, profiling, analytics, or unrelated purposes.
OneTap | Safe is designed to store user-provided information locally on your device.
We do not intentionally store your personal information on our own external servers.
GSDSI does not have direct access to information stored locally within the App.
However, information may leave your device when you use communication functionality, such as sending an SMS or other notification to a trusted contact. Such communications may be processed through your device, mobile network, operating system, or applicable third-party communication service.
We do not sell or otherwise provide your locally stored personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information may be transmitted from your device when you intentionally use the App's alert functionality.
For example, if you miss a scheduled check-in, the App may initiate an SMS or other notification containing information you have configured for that purpose and send it to your selected trusted contact.
The communication may be processed by your mobile network operator, messaging provider, operating system, or other service involved in delivering the message. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
You are responsible for selecting trusted contacts and determining what information you wish to include in alerts.
Because the App is designed to operate locally and does not intentionally transmit stored personal data to GSDSI's own external servers, we do not generally transfer locally stored App data to our own systems outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).
However, when you use third-party communication or device services, such as SMS, notification infrastructure, mobile network services, or operating-system services, those providers may process information outside the EEA.
Where GSDSI is responsible for a transfer of personal data outside the EEA, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards required by applicable data protection law, which may include an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally recognized safeguard.
You may contact us using the details in Section 12 for further information about applicable international transfers.
Depending on the features you use, OneTap | Safe may request device permissions such as:
Notifications — to remind you to complete scheduled check-ins and provide alerts
SMS or messaging functionality, where supported — to send alerts to trusted contacts
The App does not access your device's contact list. Trusted contacts must be entered manually.
You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Disabling certain permissions may prevent related App features from functioning correctly.
OneTap | Safe does not intentionally use:
Advertising networks
Behavioral tracking technologies
Third-party analytics tools
Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising
Cross-app tracking
The App is designed to provide its core safety functionality without tracking users for advertising or analytics purposes.
You retain control over information stored within the App.
Depending on the available App functionality, you can:
Edit your information
Delete your information
Remove trusted contacts
Reset App data
Delete all locally stored App information
Deleting the App will generally remove locally stored App data from your device, subject to the behavior of your operating system and any information that may already have been transmitted through external communication services.
Information that has already been sent to a trusted contact through SMS or another communication service may remain with that recipient or service and cannot be deleted by the App.
OneTap | Safe is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App inappropriately, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Depending on your location and applicable law, including the GDPR where applicable, you may have the right to:
Access your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of personal data
Request restriction of processing
Object to certain processing
Receive your personal data in a portable format where applicable
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority
Because OneTap | Safe is designed to store information locally on your device and GSDSI does not have direct access to that locally stored information, many requests can be fulfilled directly by you through the App or by deleting the relevant data from your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our data processing activities, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make material changes, we may provide appropriate notice through the App or other suitable means where required.
The updated version will include a revised effective date.
Depending on the specific processing activity, personal data may be processed on different legal bases permitted under applicable data protection law, including:
Performance of a contract or provision of requested functionality
Compliance with legal obligations
Legitimate interests, where applicable
Consent, where consent is required
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Your use of the App does not by itself constitute consent to every possible processing activity. Where applicable law requires separate or explicit consent, we will request it through the App or another appropriate mechanism.
