Historical Notes:

Proctor & Sophie took in two children, Stephanie & Joseph, as listed on Proctor's 1927 Naturalization Petition. These children were orphans of Jan Adamcyzk (died 1919) & Mary Kycia Adamcyzk (died 1924). By 1930 the children were living with their aunt Josephine Kycia and using the last name Oneski, but by adulthood they resumed using their birth surname Adamcyzk. Proctor worked at Ford with Jan, and they all lived in the close knit Polish settlement near the Ford plant called Hamtramck.
