‘I paint to gain some area of freedom'

My paintings are mainly influenced by landscape. My connection to landscape is from first - hand experience through the senses. This imagery becomes a stimulus for painting in the studio.

My approach tends to be intuitive rather than literal. This combined with a desire to simplify elements leads to semi - abstract landscapes of a spiritual nature.
