As an artist, I like to use many layers of colour and line work. This adds to the depths within my paintings so that upon observation, the viewers eyes weave in and out of the many layers, allowing a variety of shapes and expressions of emotion to come forward.

Acrylic, collage, charcoal and pastel are my favourite forms of medium.

Working with these materials adds warmth and character to my canvases.

Generally my work begins with a photograph. My paintings start out as realistic representations but again and again I break the subject down until I finish with a feel or sense of the original idea.

I've been painting for about 25 years and now enjoy the luxury of sharing space at 1 + 2 studios. I am in the process of organising a website, in the meantime I can be contacted via Instagram, Facebook or Email.
