Helen Sanderson

Fortunately for me, I had an artist grandmother who took me on landscape painting excursions as a child. The love of landscape has stayed with me throughout my life and my art making reflects the search to explore the landscape and different life forms which inhabit it.

Training at the National Art School in Sydney gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in art making and learn new skills. I have subsequently participated in a number of group exhibitions.

As a teacher and latterly art therapist I was able to encourage art making and observe the inherent creativity in people from the age of 5 to almost 100. Now at One+2, within a supportive community of artists I am concentrating more on my own art making and creativity, using a variety of media, water colour acrylics, drawing materials to follow lines of inquiry as they arise for me.
