An interpretation of my work, I hope, is to reach into the subject and grasp its soul, which in some instances has been successful but creates a dark, disturbing atmosphere. My work is strong in realism and the techniques of the part, and to abstract it, I lean heavily towards surrealism and metaphor. In the image of surrealism, the source of my works is unknown at the time of its conception but automatic, which is why I rely heavily on developing my painting techniques.
