Deirdre Keenaghan is an Australian/Irish artist based in Sydney and Melbourne. She completed her BA in Fine Art and Design Studies at Curtin University in Perth. Three of her artworks are held in the WA State Government collection. Recently she was one of forty artists to be selected for the 2019 International Art Book Award and her book was displayed at the Manly Gallery and Museum. She exhibits regularly in group and solo shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

Her practice is concerned with memory and reminiscence. The memories are often based on places that she has lived, from Ireland to Australia. Some of her processes include, distorting the image and trying to fragment the paint using different implements and layering/removing oil paint. As a contemporary artist, her mediums vary between, oil paint, collage, and found materials.
