Christine Stewart

Christine trained for 3 years plus a further 18 months specialising in painting at The School of Colour and Design and then was full time at Julian Ashton Art School.

Before that she had been working as a potter but has also done some Colour consulting work on house exteriors. She wrote the Conservation Management Plan and supervised the restoration of the 1823 Collits’Inn at Hartley Vale, being awarded Best Restoration of a Heritage Building from the NSW Heritage Office and also from Lithgow Council.

Christine was awarded First Prize in the inaugural Glebe Art Prize in 1989 by Bernard Smith.
