Wayne Stock has been involved in the art of Book Binding for the past 53 years. He did an apprentice in New Zealand and journeyman travelled to Australia and England, where he completed his training at the famous “Sangorski and Sutcliffe” book binding firm for 5 years.

In 1986 Wayne branched out on his own, repairing damaged books and providing bespoke binding for artists, book dealers and limited editions.

Rosemary Lang our local well known photographer recently had a book made with Wayne.

If you visit his studio at One+2 Balmain, you might feel as if the world has wound back 150 years. Most of the specific machinery he is using was made in the 18^th Century!
