Nuha Saad is a Sydney-based artist whose practice spans sculpture, installation, and public art. Saad holds a Master of Visual Arts by Research from Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Visual Arts from the City Art Institute (now UNSW Art & Design).
Over the course of her career, Saad has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions across Australia and has received several awards including an Australia Council New Work Grant, a Studio Residency from the NSW Ministry of the Arts, the Pat Corrigan Artist Grant, and the City Art Institute Sculpture Award. Her work has been shortlisted for numerous national art prizes including most recently the inaugural Maquette Sculpture Award at McClelland Gallery (2025), Wollongong Art Prize (2025), Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize (2025, 2024, 2022), Deakin University Small Sculpture Award (2024, 2022, 2019, 2018), Fishers Ghost Prize (2024), Beechworth Contemporary Art Award (2022), and Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize (2021).
Recent exhibitions and projects include Future Universe at Velvet Lobster (NSW), Lovely Thunder at PACC Cessnock (NSW), Colour in Form at James Makin Gallery (VIC), Women in Abstraction at ANZ Gallery (VIC) and Round at Wollongong Art Gallery (NSW). Saad’s work has also been profiled in publications such as Artist Profile in An Archaeology of the Suburbs by Courtney Kidd and Art Guide in Structures of Colour by Briony Downes.
Saad’s work is represented in the collections of ARTBANK, Charter Hall, St John of God Art Collection (WA), ANZ Bank, City of Sydney, Randwick City Council, and Royal Melbourne Hospital, as well as in numerous private collections throughout Australia and the United States.
