George Goodnow
George Goodnow (b.1994) works across painting, public art projects and site-specific installations. Across their practice, their work focuses on relationships between people and built environments. They are interested in how objects hold memories, and how architecture reflects, orientates and holds bodies. Their work documents and deconstructs architecture, materials and memories to explore the complex relationships between built environments, the bodily and the emotional.
Goodnow has exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Wassaic Project (New York), PADA Studios (Portugal), Science Gallery (Melbourne), Artereal Gallery (Sydney), Platform Arts (Geelong), Wollongong Art Gallery (Wollongong) and the University of Newcastle Gallery (Newcastle). They have been commissioned to create public artwork for Collingwood Yards, Sydney WorldPride, MPavilion Parkville and many local councils.
