Contemporary Kiln Formed Glass
As a Sydney-based glass artist, I have spent more than two decades exploring the expressive possibilities of kiln‑formed glass. My practice spans both functional and studio work, with pieces represented in galleries across Australia and internationally.
I have been a long‑standing member of the One+2 Artist Studios community for over 20 years, a place that continues to shape and support my creative development.
My work is driven by a deep fascination with the dual nature of glass—its delicacy and its resilience. I am drawn to the way light interacts with the material, revealing layers of colour, texture, and form. Early training in graphic design continues to inform my approach, particularly in my use of strong composition, refined detail, and considered colour relationships.
Nature is my enduring source of inspiration. The Australian landscape—its rhythms, structures, and organic intricacies—finds its way into my work through layered surfaces, subtle patterning, and sculptural forms. Many of my pieces incorporate complex assemblies of individually crafted elements, echoing the interconnections and quiet complexity found in the natural world.
Alongside my studio practice, I teach glassmaking, sharing both technique and a deep respect for the material.
Whether creating functional objects or sculptural works, my aim is to invite viewers to slow down, observe closely, and experience the beauty of detail.
