Ahmed Hamaï is a cancer biologist and immunologist at the Institut Necker Enfants Malades in France and head of the FEROSTEM research group. By investigating the roles of iron metabolism, ferroptosis, and autophagy, he aims to identify novel biomarkers and treatment targets. His work bridges fundamental cancer biology and translational research to develop more effective therapies and prevent disease recurrence.

Patrice Codogno is Research Director Emeritus at INSERM and former group leader at the Institut Necker-Enfants Malades (INEM), Paris. His research has focused on fundamental aspects of autophagy, including autophagy signaling, membrane dynamics, organelle interactions, and cellular responses to nutritional, mechanical, and oncogenic stress.

Howard Chen is an Investigator in the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. He is passionate about interdisciplinary research that leads to deeper molecular understanding, and impacts human health. His current research focuses on developing molecular imaging contrast agents to investigate cell death processes, namely apoptosis, necrosis and autophagy in the in vivo environment.
