The primary objective of this project is to construct a user-friendly mobile application that enhances the quality of care for cancer patients by monitoring their daily hydration intake. Given the criticality of adequate fluid intake for sustaining patients’ health and well-being, this application is designed to empower individuals to manage their hydration and remain compliant with clinical recommendations independently.
This project will emphasize the patient-facing interface, ensuring an accessible, intuitive, and supportive digital environment through multiple devices. The system will facilitate collaboration between the patient and their caregivers (with the provider) in defining and overseeing hydration goals, fostering a “community model” of patient care and well-being.
OncoBoost will facilitate the following objectives
Develop a user-friendly mobile app to enhance quality of care for cancer patients.
Monitor and record daily hydration intake.
View history and progress summaries
Motivate individuals to manage their hydration independently.
Input of hydration data in various units (cups, imperial, metric)
Improve compliance with clinical recommendations.
React Native for app interface
Firebase for authentication & database management
Node.js for the backend consistency
Cloud-hosted NoSQL DB - Firestore (Firebase)
