Once upon a time... in a museum that wasn't that far away and exists right now, there were relics, artifacts left over from the past. From the world of fairy tales and legends. From the real life events that you may not know happened.
Welcome to Once Upon A Museum. Where stories come to life. Here, you will hear tales of princes, princesses, and kingdoms in far flung regions of the world. And they are all true. Each exhibit has artifacts that embody the stories of people you may have heard of, but never quite like this. You will hear their stories from their own points of view in startling detail. You will confront the past that has been morphed, changed to fit a narrative that is easier to swallow.
But most of all, you will see the best and worst of the world encapsulated in the stories and items left behind from great tragedies, great triumphs, and great loves known the world over. These so called 'fairy tales' known across the globe will show you their human reality.
Make sure you see the major exhibits:
Love in the Time of Fairy Tales- featuring the stories of Rapunzel and her Prince told in their own words. Each item in the collection has been donated from their personal archives in order to raise awareness and exposure to their foundation- "Love Heals All Wounds."
If the Shoe Fits- featuring the stories of Ash Puttel and her stepsisters, and their mother whose ambition and greed cost them their limbs. The items in this collection have been donated by the family along with interviews for the storybook database.
Just a Bite- featuring the story of Snow White and her valiant escape from her stepmother. She has donated the necklace and apple involved in the incident in hopes that her story will help educate and warn people of the treacherous nature of jealousy and the harm it can brings to a family.
