Mr. Roling

Welcome to Mr. Roling's 8th Grade Science class.   My science class "rocks"!   I am dressed as a milkman because most of you are aware that I forgot about a gallon of milk in my room that I used for a science experiment and it spoiled.  The school smelled of rotten milk for several weeks and I certainly was embarrassed about it.  So I thought I would help to add some humor to this painful memory to start the year to give everyone a laugh.

This will be my second year here at Orion Middle School and I am really looking forward to it.  You will be learning about all three types of science in my class: Physical, Chemical, and Earth.   In Earth science you will learn about rocks and that's how you will be "Rockin with Roling".   

To tell you a bit about myself I have 4 children.  2 boys and 2 girls and two grandchildren.   This will be my 36th year of teaching and I don't plan to stop anytime soon.  I really enjoy working with kids in the classroom and as a coach.  I coach cross country and boys basketball here at Orion.  I have coached for almost 40 years and truly enjoy it.  It is a great way to build relationships with kids.

I have some big plans for science this year and hope that everyone will have a great year!
