Original Music Showcase (OMS) is a collaboration of original music artists from Mt Horeb, WI. and artist Barb Sorensen from Illinois.

It is an event that is spearheaded by original artist/producer Barb Sorensen of Emerald City Music Productions, Inc. 

OMS is open to all original singer/songwriters/musicians from WI.

The artists on stage are the same ones who wrote the songs they are performing.

We define original music, as music that is written by an artist themselves.
This definition does not include songs written with the use of any Artifical intelligence, apps, software, chat GPT, etc.... nor does it include songs that were purchased from others and made as their own.

If you are an artist who writes and performs your own music and would like to be on our stage, we'd love to hear from you.

Each artists gets 15-25 minutes on stage - this includes the time to walk on, introduce your set, plug in, play, give thanks, unplug, walk off.

We have one logistical/technical run-through in advance of the showcase.

Sound check is done on the day of the showcase for all artists, in the morning before the showcase begins. 

We require all artists that are a part of this event, to also help distribute posters and leaflets to various areas around Wisconsin within a 1 hour driving distance of Mount Horeb. 

We also request that each artist make sales calls in support of their performance and this event.  We provide the training, guidance, and sales materials. *Note: This is optional. It is not a requirement and has no bearing on if you are chosen to present on stage or not. 

We simply present the training to encourage artists to empower themselves and learn to
sell advertising sponsorships and concerts to venues.

The artist selection process is not based upon who you know, how many years you have been performing or
how many songs you have written. 

If you have 15 -25 minutes of your own original music ready to present, and have copyrighted them with copyright.gov,
you qualify to be on this stage.

We work with artists from across all genres of music. We work with artists who's music is family friendly and has clean lyrics please.

No cussing on stage, no inappropriate dress or comments please (leaving politics, religions, cultures, and personality judgements off the stage)
