I feel like I have learned alot this semester. The first project was an annotated bibliography. This project was only time consuming but not difficult to complete. I learned how to find peer reviewed scholarly sources and how to use MLA citations along with in-text citations which have proven to be useful. I use the guide for MLA citations and piece it together. The bibliography section was something I had never done before, but have heard of. This was an interesting project for me, but also plentiful in teaching me basic MLA formatting skills.
The next project was a podcast. This project was absolutely new to me as I have never recorded a podcast. I learned a lot while making this project. I had to plan and draft what I was going to say differently than I usually would, because I would be recording me talking over the script. Since we had to record ourselves talking I would practice certain parts of my script out loud, which is something I never do.
The next project was a web text we had to create with our group. I learned how to get into extreme detail about research that I found on my topic and that my group mates would also add their input which helped me further my research and portion on our project. This project taught me to do detailed research and to look over it, and also go back and make any changes. In this project, a lot of revision was needed so we consulted as a group and made the proper revisions in order to complete the project.
To go along with our webtext we had a poster that included information from a survey that we put out as part of our research. Creating the poster had to have been my favorite part as I learned different design skills and learned how to create something informational with the new skills I learned from previous projects while making it aesthetically pleasing. I have learned a great bit this semester and will probably use most of the skills I learned on future projects.
