Inspiration

In recent years, the ways we work in design, art and crafts have changed significantly. Using AI in the design process is just as natural as sketching with a pen or working with graphic design tools. Likewise, operating a CNC machine, 3D printer or laser cutter feels as natural as working with your hands and traditional tools.

In the digital world, all information — even shapes and forms — is based on numbers. This opens up huge possibilities: digital designs can be easily scaled in both size and quantity. A small piece of jewellery can be transformed into a piece of furniture using the very same model. Only the manufacturing machines change. And because digital production is repeatable, one object can quickly become one hundred. One euro invested in a design can multiply into a hundred through scalable production.

At the heart of this hackathon is the idea of embracing the technological developments shaping our creative fields. Step outside the comfort zone of traditional Arts & Crafts and Design.

Your creativity is still yours — the tools have simply evolved.
