I often engage in various abstract areas of photography taking one element out of context of the big picture. One of my favorites, however, is ICM. ICM stands for Intentional Camera Movement. This experimental technique, that I embraced a few years ago, is often used in abstract photography.  The fun aspect of ICM is that the results are (to a certain extent) unpredictable.  Sometimes I also paint or add additional details to the image in post processing.
