Continue to serve as a leader, role model, and teacher for my students
Continue to develop and execute high-quality, standards-based lessons for students of any and/or all grades and English courses
Continue to provide students with detailed and timely feedback on all assignments
Continue to offer support and guidance to all students
Continue to develop positive, constructive relationships with students, parents, and community members
Continue to regularly communicate with parents.
Attend extracurricular events regularly
Enhance content area skills in literature and teaching writing
Attend professional development workshops
Collaboration with other staff members, especially those who teach the same grade level, in order to enhance my own planning and teaching practices
Incorporate Social-Emotional learning into my literacy instruction
Use texts that explicitly address social and emotional themes, such as characters dealing with challenges or conflicts, to teach reading comprehension strategies and SEL skills simultaneously.
Provide opportunities for students to collaborate and share their thoughts and feelings with peers in a safe and respectful environment, both in class discussions and in written responses.
Obtain my MA in English
Acquire better teaching techniques, methods, and strategies that can help me become a more effective educator in the classroom.
Pursuing a Master's degree is a great way to continue learning and growing as an educator, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and ideas in the field of English education.
Develop a class called " Life Skills"
My vision is to have a class that provides students not only with ELA skills but skills that they will need to thrive in everyday life
This class could be taught to seniors and can include things like time management, stress management, applying for college, etc.
