In this Retail Studio course, we designed a Pop Up store that featured a piece of chosen jewelry. The first rendition was to be an 8 by 8 by 8 space that was flagship store for a luxury brand based on a provided floor plan. This flagship store would host a pop-up store initially created to showcase a selected piece of jewelry, as detailed below. Inspired by the snow globe concept, I chose Monclér as the brand to feature in this innovative pop-up store design, aligning perfectly with their aesthetic & identity.
This pop-up store showcases a beautifully crafted, colorful Japanese Brooch. Shaped in a cylinder made of glass it is covered by a glass dome roof, which mimics a snow globe. A strong contrast between the space and the jewelry was created to allow the brooch to stand out. A sense of rhythm moves you around the space either by walking or standing on the revolving floor, which revolves around a smaller glass domed cylinder encasing the focal point: a white angel hanging in this space wearing a colorful brooch.
