Set up and led the Legislative Subcommittee responsible for tracking and evaluating legislation under consideration by the Colorado General Assembly and ballot initiatives being reviewed by the Colorado Initiatives & Title Board.
Educate staff, board members, volunteers, and youth on the effects of pending policies.
Communicate with partner organizations about their needs and priorities, participate in stakeholder meetings, and gather feedback from community members.
Strategize policy responses with committee-members, balancing youth, organizational, external, and individual needs and constraints
Delegate responsibilities to volunteers with routine check-ins to ensure accountability and offer assistance.
Provide and receive feedback on draft testimony.
Educate legislators, policymakers, and the general public on policy impacts by testifying at the local and state level.
