I am searching for positions that allow me to live openly and authentically as myself, conduct policy-relevant economic research on LGBTQIA2+ people, and continue to advocate for human rights.
I am wrapping up my 7th year as an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Geosciences at the U.S. Air Force Academy* in Colorado Springs, CO. My primary research interests are in the fields of LGBTQ+ Economics, Macroeconomics, Labor Economics, and Health Economics. I received my Ph.D. and M.S. in Economics from Purdue University in 2019 and 2015 respectively, and my B.S. in Economic Sciences from Washington State University in 2013.Â
Outside of USAFA, I volunteer regularly at Inside Out Youth Services helping LGBTQIA2+ youth build access, equity, and power in their community. I am a member of the Board of Directors, Vice-Chair of the Policy & Advocacy Committee, and the Chair of the Legislative Subcommittee leading a team of volunteers and staff advocating for LGBTQIA2+ youth and young adults.
