I attended Murray County High School from 2016 to 2020, and graduated top of my class as valedictorian. I also dual-enrolled at Dalton State College where I graduated with my Associate's. After high school, I attended The University of Georgia from 2020 to 2024 where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a neuroscience emphasis and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I also minored in Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Gerontology while completing my undergraduate degrees.
My decision to enroll in the Master of Public Administration program at the University of Georgia was more than an academic choice—it was a commitment to leadership, service, and systemic change. With a background in Psychology and Sociology, I have long been fascinated by the forces that shape human behavior and social outcomes, but I wanted to do more than understand the world—I want to improve it.
The MPA program offered me the tools to do just that. With a concentration in nonprofit governance and leadership, I began building expertise in public budgeting, administrative law and procedures, and personnel management theory. These courses weren’t just theoretical—they were directly tied to the challenges faced by communities and the organizations that serve them.
Enrolling in the MPA marked a turning point in my academic career. It bridged my passion for social justice with the practical skills needed to lead nonprofits, shape policy, and advocate for equity. It was the next step in a journey defined by curiosity, compassion, and a deep belief in the power of public service.
