I have lived in the Whitfield/Murray County Area my entire life. My mom and I graduated from the same high school and have done many traditions year after year together. Family is super important to me, as is service.
Growing up in a small town tucked into the hills of Murray County, I was shaped by the quiet strength of my family. We volunteered at church and in our community all the time. My mom, Beth Humble, has and will always be my rock; she shows me the meaning of perseverance and unconditional love.
My PawPaw, Bobby Lee Humble, was a humble veteran whose discipline, courage, and stories from service left a lasting impression on me. His name says it all—he lived with humility and heart, and I carry those values with me every day.
My PawPaw's battle with ALS changed the way I see the world—and my place in it. Watching him face such a devastating diagnosis with courage and grace inspired me to do more than just admire his strength; it pushed me to act. That’s why I chose to pursue a career—and continue my academic journey—in a field where I can make a difference for families like mine.
Whether through research, advocacy, or service, I’m committed to honoring his legacy by supporting veterans and underserved communities. My education isn’t just about earning a degree—it’s about building the knowledge and tools to create real change.
In 2020, not only did I graduate as valedictorian, I was honored to be named the Community Champion of Murray County by Murray County Family Connection of Georgia. This recognition celebrates individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to service, leadership, and positive impact within their communities. I'm proud to stand alongside others who strive to make a difference and uplift those around them.
I have always had a deep love for school. Learning wasn’t just something I had to do—it was something I truly enjoyed. From a young age, I set my sights high and dreamed of graduating as valedictorian. That goal became a guiding light, pushing me to work hard, stay curious, and never settle for less than my best. Education has always been more than grades to me—it’s been a way to grow, to challenge myself, and to build a future I’m proud of.
One of the most rewarding chapters in my journey was interning with my hometown, Murray County, Georgia. It wasn’t just an internship—it was a chance to give back to the community that raised me. Working alongside local leaders and organizations, I gained firsthand insight into the challenges and strengths of rural communities. I saw how policy, service, and compassion intersect to create real impact.
Being able to contribute to the place that shaped my values made the experience deeply personal. It reaffirmed my commitment to public service, advocacy, and building bridges between local needs and broader solutions. Murray County isn’t just where I’m from—it’s why I do what I do.
