Oliver Bogdan Wach
I am a PhD Candidate and Research Assistant at Freie Universität Berlin and a fellow of the Joachim Herz Foundation.
I am an applied economist working at the intersection of economic history, development economics, and political economy. My research focuses on the long-term impact and origins of institutions. I examine how these institutions influence economic behaviour, civil society and political preferences over time.
I am at the 2025–2026 Job Market!
Here you can find my CV and my university site. I am on LinkedIn and Bluesky.
My references are Theocharis Grigoriadis (FU Berlin), Nikolaus Wolf (HU Berlin), Sascha Becker (Warwick), and Cathrin Mohr (Kiel Institute & University Hamburg).
