I am an applied mathematician in industry whose research interests broadly lie in scientific computing, more specifically in applying techniques at the intersection of machine learning and quantum computing to interesting scientific problems.
I am currently a Quantum AI Scientist at IonQ, one of the leading developers of trapped ion quantum computers. Previously I worked as both a PhD resident and a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the AI Simulation group at SandboxAQ.
I completed a PhD in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics and Scientific Computing at the University of Michigan, under my advisers Shravan Veerapaneni and Alfred Hero. I previously completed a BS in Mathematical Sciences at UC Santa Barbara and an MA in Mathematics at San Francisco State University.
