What is Fostering?
Fostering is the act of taking in an animal with the intent of giving them time and attention to be ready to adopt. Across the United States, many of animals are abandoned and have no where to turn to. Shelters rely on people like you and me to foster animals to free up spots in their care and reduce overcrowding for potential deadly illnesses and diseases to spread.
Fostering is a great way to give animals a head start on what life inside a home is like, as well and gives adopters a chance to see how the animal behaves in a home setting. Fostering can also help animals who might come from bad situations recover from traumas and adjust to a new, loving lease on life. As someone who has fostered many of cats and kittens, while it is sad for them to leave, you cannot help but be happy to see them loved and loving their life.
