Growing up in the South
Born and raised in Keiser, Arkansas, I grew up with very affluential teachers in my life. My grandad was an agriculture teacher, my grandma taught 3rd-6th, and many of my aunts and uncles taught middle and high school classes throughout my life. Teaching is in my blood, so much so that I got my first teaching job when I was 15 years old; teaching children how to make art!
Growing up in a small town has taught me to value the importance of community. My fondest memories growing up is when the community would come together and host fall harvests and fun, meaningful activities for the kids to enjoy. I hope to incorporate that into my class as well.

Education

I spent my academic years all under the same school roof; Rivercrest. From age 4 to age 18, I wandered these halls and made many of memories with dear friends and awesome teachers alike. Where I was from; the elementary, middle, and high school I attended was also attended by my mother some 40 years ago and my grandmother who taught in the same halls. To say a lot of pride was in my heart was a big understatement. I graduated high school in 2019 and would go on to continue my academic career at Arkansas State University. Currently, I am in my Junior year of my bachelor's program, studying in Elementary Education. I am planning on going on getting a minor's in Psychology afterwards and perusing my Masters Degree in Elementary Education.
