Students from both schools were divided; both schools agree that the teacher’s own political beliefs have some role or a large role in the classroom. Although, at LREI the faculty is not divisive and allows students to draw conclusions.

The division between BCS and LREI is telling. I say this because 72.7% of BCS students believe that the teacher should be allowed to express their point of view towards the LGBTQ+ community even if it is unfavorable, compared to only 12.5% of LREI students agreeing with this.

Once again, BCS students agree that teachers’ beliefs have a role in the classroom and even overtly espouse one over another. In contrast, LREI students believe that a teacher should allow them to arrive at their own conclusions.

Among polling with LREI students, 60.4% of the student body believes that the LGBTQ+ community is recognized in the Declaration of Independence. Only 27.3% of BCS students strongly agree with that statement.
