BEATS

I tend to make beats.

seems like ive been doing so

for two decades.

by myself when i'm alone.

& as i finish one

it's on to the next.

seemlessly.

all of these are unique 

in their own special way:

some with samples/

some without.

 some handmade with drum machines/

some programmed in software 

some are quantized/

some are not. 

ALL were made with purpose.

ALL born out of inspiration/

trepid inclination/

insider illusion/

desire for creation.

Minor yet major/

in multiple uses

timid in nature/ 

but courageous in music

now - what happens next 

is a baffling sequence that defys

 any logical explanation. 

It's been this way since the begining 

& i have yet been able to understand 

exactly how or why this occurs. 

because,

it goes into a folder. & there it still remains...

10 days...100 days...1000days...forever

never to be heard again
