OLCEU is a “wall-to-wall” union representing the support staff, attorneys and other non-management employees of Oregon Law Center. OLCEU is a unit of the National Organization of Legal Service Workers (NOLSW). NOLSW, designated as UAW Local 2320, is a “local” union organized under the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW). The UAW is a large, international union. OLCEU is in UAW Region 9A.

OLCEU aims to fight for the elimination of poverty and social injustice through our work and to promote and ensure the provision of effective legal services to the low-income people of Oregon. We are dedicated to making it possible for our members to make careers in legal services through a fair labor contract and a dignified work environment. This allows us to provide high quality civil legal services in the communities we serve.

We believe that unity of all workers is necessary to achieve the goal of social and economic justice. To that end, OLCEU is committed to organizing the unorganized and is also committed to working with the rest of the labor movement to accomplish our goals.

We have roughly 70 members throughout Oregon. Each of our members is an important and valued member of OLCEU.
