Our Lady of the Annunciation Learning Center of Catarman Samar Inc. utilizes standards-based assessment and grading for Nursery, pre-kinder, and kinder pupils. They are evaluated based on their competence and mastery of the standard. Each assessment is linked to curriculum standards so that pupil progress is efficiently tracked. Parents have access to where they can view their child’s progress at any time. Log-in information is sent out at the beginning of each school year. Reports of pupil’s progress are issued at the end of each quarter.

Parents are encouraged to contact their child’s teacher with questions or concerns. The reports are based on teacher assessment and observation. Parents are encouraged to attend conferences and ask questions to understand the information.

At Our Lady of the Annunciation Learning Center of Catarman Samar Inc, we believe an effective assessment system includes formal, informal, formative, and summative assessments. Our assessment plan promotes student learning and mastery of skills along with guiding instructional decisions and school improvement. We assess pupils learning to identify and address areas of concern while promoting and celebrating areas of success.

All areas of our curriculum are assessed in some way. Pupils are assessed by classroom teachers in all subject areas. We use both formative and summative assessments including observation, project, performance, oral and written tests, and other methods. At OLALCCSI we use the following standardized tests.
