As the OACA is merely a network of coaches, we do not directly sponsor any events other than the Coaches Conference in the September and the All-State Games and Banquet in April. The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) is responsible for the running of the High School State Academic Bowl tournament that is composed of District Seeding, Regional, Area, and State tournaments.
Gail Bliss of the Oklahoma Association for Academic Competition (OAAC, not to be confused with OACA of course) offers and manages a wide variety of academic events throughout the school year that cover all age groups.
Additionally some schools host events that are aligned with the National Academic Quiz Tournament (NAQT) format or their own tournaments in order to raise funds to compete in their conference games.
Tracey Hickman has compiled a listing of pretty much all non-OAAC events on a Google Doc that I have shared with you below. This is a view only document unless Tracey has granted you permission to edit. If you need something added please email oacasecretary@gmail.com and I will get that added for you!
