Leadership for Oklahoma Academic Bowl competition is two-tiered. The Oklahoma Academic Coaches Association is the network of coaches from across the state to promote and foster competition and camaraderie amongst the thousands of students who participate in Academic Bowl each year. The OACA's main focus each year is the Fall Coaches Conference and the All-State Games and Banquet.
The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association is responsible the running of the State Academic Bowl Tournament each year. They carry out their duties with the assistance of the OACA as well as an advisory board that is made up of the OACA President and a representative from each of the 6 OSSAA Classes elected on a rotating basis for three-year terms.
