Guidelines and Judging

For the OIDAI SDG's Initiative, English presentations must be 8-10 minutes in length, address the chosen topic directly, and cover all ground mentioned in the prompt. The presentation must be accompanied by visual aids in the form of a slideshow (PowerPoint, Keynote, or other software) that can be projected onto a screen. The slideshow needs to contain not only text and images, graphs/charts, and other supporting materials to help the audience understand your talk.

Presentations can be done either alone or as a group of 2 or 3. Any student enrolled in the Faculty of International Studies / Faculty of International Liberal Arts is eligible to apply.

A summary of the basic requirements is below:

• 8 - 10 minutes

• Must be conducted completely in English (including, PPT, materials and Q&A)

• Must include a slideshow

• Must be done in-person (both first and final rounds)

• Must choose and be about one of the three official topics 

• Presentation as 1, 2, or 3 members (4+ members is now allowed)

• Must APPLY with your name(s) through this website

OIDAI SDGs Initiativeでは、英語で8-10分の長さのプレゼンテーションをすることが求められます。

選んだトピックに関連する内容でOIDAI SDGs Initiativeの主旨に従って発表をしてください。

プレゼンテーションの際にはスライド（パワーポイントやキーノートなど）等を有効活用してください。

発表内容をより良く理解してもらうために、スライドには文字だけでなく、画像、グラフ、図等を挿入し、論理的、分析的、科学的に発表してください。

プレゼンテーションは個人でも団体（2〜3名）でもOKです。

基本的な必要事項をまとめると 、

• 8-10分の発表

• すべて英語（素材も質疑応答も）で行う

• スライドを使って呈示する

• 対面プレゼンで行う（オンライン、ZOOM等では受付しません）

• プレゼンはトピックのいずれか1つについて発表する

• 個人で発表しても良いし、2～3人のグループで発表しても良い（4以上は駄目です）

• このウェブサイトを通じてあなたの名前で応募する必要があります

Your presentation will be judged in the first round by two judges.
They will carefully evaluate your presentation based on the following aspects and assign a score to each.
To do well in the first round, you will need to take all of them into account.

予選では2人の審査員が発表を審査します。

In the final round, the presentations will be judged by an expert panel who will determine the winner of the contest, second place, and runner ups.
The judges will give your presentation a number of points based on the below.
Note that the Question & Answer session is weighted more heavily in the Final Round, and other sections have been combined.
